Birds 2: The Birdening

Pretty much finalized the colors for my two bird gals!! It took some messing around but I'm finally really happy with how they both look C: And nowww infodump:
-As a species on average they're a little taller than a regular person, Mardie is about normal height at 5'9 (175 cm), even a little short!
-If you're wondering how the hell their wings work through their clothes, they cut slits in the back, so if you looked at their shirts from behind, you'd just see a thin strip of fabric in the middle that only connects to the front again at the very bottom of the tunic. Some of their clothes are also worn like some kind of toga or something where they just wrap them around themselves a bunch, tie them off and bam away they go
-It's hard to see from the poses in this ref, but Mardie's wings are based off of an eagle, so are more broad and have pronounced slots in the primaries. Ritzki's are longer and more pointed, and are based off of a falcon or a swift!

I'm really excited to show you all more of the characters and story for these guys, I've got a lot of great stuff in store and I hope you all enjoy it!! Sorry I've been so absent on here as of late, I've been really lacking the dA and drawing vibe in general :/ I am pretty active on my tumblr though, and I'm finishing up a reeeally belated Inktober on my art tumblr!
